Hello everyone. 🙂
I hope that this short blog post will be both encouraging and inspiring.
I needed a get-a-way: a time to be in nature. There is something about being in a secluded natural setting: somewhere where you are tucked away and surrounded by God’s beautiful nature.
I went on a getaway: just me and God. As I spent time alone in the woods with God, I felt so grateful for God’s natural beauty. There is something so uniquely peaceful and refreshing about the great outdoors.
I relished the soft ground beneath my feet and the thick forests that surrounded me. I was impressed with how God creates beauty out of the simultaneous life and death that exists in nature: both the living and the dead vegetation together created pleasing sights for my eyes. The dead vegetation also created a cushion for my feet.
In our lives, beauty is created as we die to ourselves: as we die to our selfishness and learn to live unselfishly and lovingly as God does. We learn that true love is others-centered, and we learn that a life lived for others is a life of true satisfaction.
We learn to value the experience that Jesus had and we learn that true greatness only comes from true humility. I want to invite you to read Philippians 2:5-11. These verses express a beautiful experience that anyone who desires to have may have through Jesus’ strength.

I hope that this short blog post has been a blessing. God has provided both physical and emotional satisfaction as well as intellectual stimulation in the world He has created for us. My encouragement to all of us is to get out in God’s nature and see what He has in store for each of us, individually.
Blessings and courage to all. 🙂
