I chose this picture because it depicts a little girl who trusts in her father’s love.

This world is a pretty shaky place. It changes. Physical and mental illnesses come. Divorces come. Estrangements come. Brokenness comes, and we humans sometimes find our way into addictions and more brokenness when brokenness comes. Deaths come.
This world is a pretty shaky place. Natural disasters come. Political unrest comes. Violence and abuse of many different varieties come. Consequences for bad decisions come. Remorse, guilt, and despair come.
And we all are looking for good to come. Praise God for hope and redemption! Changes can and do happen in the world. Change. People find both physical and mental healing through God’s plans. Broken families are restored through God’s tender, gentle, powerful, and amazing grace. People find healing and deliverance from the chains of addiction. We have the hope of the resurrection when we can see those whom we love who are sleeping in Christ once again.
Praise God for hope and redemption! Changes can and do happen in the world. Supernatural interventions still happen, and God intervenes during natural and political disturbances. While consequences for bad decisions do come, God holds out forgiveness and He takes away guilt and despair, and turns remorse into a sobering, compassionate, taking full responsibility for one’s actions kind of a spirit that motivates all truly repentant people to live life differently.
There is a heavenly Father above whom we can trust in. Let’s look up, and not down. One day, there will be “a new heavens and a new earth.” Revelation 21:1 (KJV)
For someone who needs to hear this: there is hope. There is an end to all of the confusion in this world. There is a loving Heavenly Father in heaven who sees all, knows all, loves all, hates evil, loves good, is compassionate and tender, yet not weak, and who will make all things right someday. Hang in there. ❤
