Hello everyone.
I hope that this short blog post will bring encouragement and inspiration to your day.
Something I have learned that really helps me is the practice of imagining Jesus being a part of my life while I’m at work. I often claim the following verses as I arrive at work:
“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” Ephesians 3:14-19 (KJV)
I claim these promises because I want Jesus to be with me and shine through me throughout the workday. After claiming these promises, I go to work and start my day. I send up silent prayers at times during the day. I also consecrate myself to God and seek for the total meekness and humility of Jesus. Since Jesus went to the cross and died for my sins, and all of our sins, I can see that I would be ungrateful and unreasonable if I were not willing to be as humble as He was.
Meekness makes life easier, I have found. I choose to live with the attitude that my only safety is in Christ. I choose to repent of and reject self-righteous attitudes when they arise in my heart, and I choose to accept the meekness and humility that Jesus had. I choose to reject fear and self-protective attitudes, and I choose instead to accept Jesus’ peace, and His kind of love: a love that is willing to even die for His enemies.
Note: If you are being abused, please do the loving thing, which is to reach out for help. Here is a resource for people in abusive situations (victims of abuse) and also for abusive people who want to change.https://www.thehotline.org/
I am not perfect, and I’m not all that a Christian can and should be, far from, but I’m on a journey with God. I’m learning to take Jesus to work with me, and I sense that He really does come to work with me, and I am very grateful for this.
In closing, during one of the most tender
In closing, during one of the most tender, sweet, and peaceful times in my walk with God, I wrote this blog post about Jesus. This blog post is on my old blog website, and I am linking it here. I hope that you all will take the time to read this blog post which helps us to visualize Jesus in our day-to-day lives and to search our hearts, and see where we each stand in our love for Him.
Blessings and courage to all :).
