I chose the picture in this blog post because it’s a beautiful illustration of who Jesus is to us. He can reach down and save us when we’re struggling to rise above the waves that come at us in life. He is so loving and so good!

In these days, Satan is bombarding all of us with temptations. Sin begins in our thoughts.

“But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” James 1:14-15 (KJV)

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)

The battle that we all need to fight is to keep our minds where God wants them to be.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8 (KJV)

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” Colossians 3:1-2 (KJV)

One of the many ways in which Satan is working very hard to destroy hearts and minds as well as families is through immorality. Satan is bent on destroying both our families and our souls.

The best way that men and women can show God’s love to one another is to be men and women of God who are kind, caring, respectful, and courteous, but who will also maintain such a close connection with God that we will immediately recognize when Satan is trying to lead any of us into sin. Repulsing inappropriate advances, and ending inappropriate communications are acts of godly, pure love.

“Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” Romans 13:10 (KJV)

I want to invite everyone reading this blog-post to take a stand, along with me, and to decide that we will be men and women of God: men and women who love both God and one another so much that we will do all that we can to promote the purity of one another, and the integrity of our families. We want to be SO filled with the love of God that it is our delight to promote and guard the purity of one another and the strength of our families.

We can honor this commitment in God’s strength.

“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” Ephesians 3:17-21 (KJV)

What a beautiful love Jesus has, and what a wonderful God He is to share it with anyone who is willing to recieve it! Jesus loves all of us SO much. He pities ALL of us in our weakness, and in His loving, wise way, He holds out His strength. He wants to dwell in our hearts and to empower us to live like Him and for Him. He wants us to spread His wonderful, pure love to everyone around us. Let’s not reject His amazing offers to us. ❤

I’m just a young lady who is journeying through life with Jesus. I have much to learn and unlearn and I’m so grateful to be able to be guided by God in my growing process. I desire to learn and grow forever. May I never find a complacent, stopping point! As long as I continue to humbly walk with God, I will forever be His work in progress (adapted from the "About" page on my blog learnandgrow4ever.com).
