Hello everyone.
I know that sometimes we go through times when we feel very overwhelmed by sadness, discouragement etc.. Sometimes our hearts can feel so very heavy. At moments like these in my life, I have found great comfort from pondering this simple, touching and powerful thought; “The Lord loves me”. Knowing that God loves me gives me strength and courage.
God loves EVERY person who has ever lived, who is currently living and who has yet to be born. His love is not based on anything that we do. His love for us does not go away when we hurt Him. His love is incredible. It is pure, selfless, deep…everlasting.
“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV)
Note: In old English, the word, “yea” means “yes”.
“Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.” 1 John 4:7-9 (KJV)
It is such a blessing to be loved by God. It is my sincere prayer that God will make my heart more like His and that He will help me to share His love with those around me. I trust that this is the prayer of those reading this blog-post as well. If so, I invite you to join me in prayer.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you so much for Your love. Please help us to love like You do. Please forgive us for all of the ways in which we have been unloving to others and make our hearts sincere and full of Your beautiful love.
