Happy New Year, everyone. 🙂
I think that it’s fitting at this time of year to reminisce over the blessings we’ve been given over the past year, while we look forward to new opportunities for growth in the year ahead of us.
It hit me…I might not have seen this year at all had God not spared my life during the car accident I was in on April 1 of last year. This experience will always be strong evidence to me that God isn’t done with me. I’m so grateful for God’s mercy!
This year, I am resolving to continue on my journey of learning and growing forever. I want to unlearn selfishness and sin, and I want to fully receive Jesus’ gifts of total unselfishness and an ongoing, unfolding, ever- deepening, complete victory over sin.
I feel that I need to have my soul scrubbed, and I need to have the devil’s thoughts pulled out of my mind. I see myself sitting on the cusp of something very good. I want a total do-over, and I’m running after Jesus. He has that do-over, and I NEED it! It’s better than a billion dollars.
I hope you all will commit along with me to relentlessly, relentlessly, relentlessly, RUN after Jesus this year. His riches, His beautiful inner riches, just aren’t worth missing!
“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” Ephesians 3:14-19 (KJV)
“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” 2 Corinthians 4:6-7 (KJV)
God’s word is sweet! I feel such a calm delight over these verses!
Happy New Year to all, once again. 🙂
